A question a number of our new projector hire customers ask us is, "should we hire a projector or a TV screen"?
To help with that important question, here are some considerations.
How Bright Is The Space / Can You Control The Lighting
Price
Our main recommendation for why people should hire a projector as opposed to a TV screen, is indeed cost. Hiring a short throw projector and screen from us, gives you a larger display per cost than a TV screen. FACT. (Again keeping in mind the point above about where a projector is appropriate). Think about how much more faff and equipment risk there is involved in moving a delicate, relatively heavy TV screen around at say 66 inches screen, as compared with a pull up projector screen. The TV is 4 or more times heavier than the projector screen (depending on model). And a TV screen is much easier to damage than a pull up projector screen.
Of course an argument for a TV screen over a projector, may be the concern that with a projector, traditionally you need more space in front of the screen to position the projector itself. However, we can solve that one for you too, and again keeping the cost down.
Most of our projectors are short throw, and you can achieve a 2m diagonal wide, 16:9 format display when positioning the projector just 1.2m away from the screen. So there's no waisted space at the front of your meeting venue. (Anyway, who of the audience would sit as close a 1.2m in front of any screen!?)
Here's another solution to the question of " do we have enough space for a projector?". Keep in mind that our rear projector screens can cost a little more than the standard front and short throw systems. But, with a rear projection hire you get the neatest solution to showing a large image.
